As for the other rules you mention they seem to work good. Almost forgot, I think I'm going to limit movement to 8 inches, might be to short for 28mm but we'll see. ITT rules also use the mechanic of 1 point can activate a formation as long as they are in contact same as these rules. Then the other side gets to perform the same number of orders. With that both sides roll 2 D6, highest roll wins and the difference between the rolls is the number of orders or activation points the winning side gets to perform.

Tonight I will try the activation and movement rules from the game In The Trenches. Even with all that said it seems a bit to wide open for me. The earliest description of Harolds death occurs.

And there are 3 ways to end a turn, failed morale check, 2 hits to your opponent (reaction fire) in one fire phase and can't remember the third. This last attack was a combined-forces assault of infantry and cavalry, with archers giving covering fire.

Hi Josta! Yes them be the rules! The movement rules are pretty wide open, the way I read the rules you are to move from one terrain piece to another with each one stopping movement and with 50% of the table covered with terrain pieces it does slow one down a bit.
